Most candidates don't underprepare for Amazon interviews. They prepare in the wrong order.
They read the Leadership Principles, search for common questions – most of which are inaccurate or outdated – write a few STAR answers, and hope those answers will fit whatever comes up. That approach feels organized, but it usually breaks down during the real interview loop.
Amazon interviews are designed to collect evidence across multiple interviewers, multiple behavioral questions, and multiple dimensions of how you think, decide, fail, learn, and deliver. Many strong candidates fail because their preparation does not cover the full interview system.
